'The data is the error'
Microsoft 1974-
I'm having problems with a new server. We installed win2k and the .net framework and all was working beatifully. After a day, asp.net have stopped working and the only error get is in the event log at iis start up:
"The HTTP Filter DLL C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705\aspnet_filter.dll failed to load. The data is the error. "
I'm not finding much information. Surely I haven't yet reached enlightenment.
Wired News: Wisconsin, New York Unplug Matrix a failed KM Initiative? The benefits of participating seem to be out weighed by the problems caused justifying the privacy issues, costs and lack of proven results. Call it natural selection if you will.
KM & Shakespeare
This is way cool. Overalying a social networking tool on the text of Shakespeare's plays yields the picture of who knows who. Remember struggling through this when you were in school?
Community
Looking for a community site for a friends sports team... He's looking for calendaring, news, messageboarding, membership and a few other basic features. A little research turned up the following
League Linup: Looks good, pro option offers an ad-free solution
Teamscore.net- more limited, but better basic design.
Eteamz: I didn't see a 'pro' option that will let you go add free. All the features appear to be there.
UserNiche is being used by some of the teams in the league... Pretty expensive for limited features
Very cool...
World wide media exchange.. A little traveling music please.
More Aggro
Went back to
WatchThisPage.Com and explored some of the capabilities for key word searching within page monitoring. You can now set up 'Channels' that define pages to monitor and key words to search within those pages. It took me about 3 minutes to set up a channel that monitors a couple major publications for 'merger', 'takeover' and other sordid terms. I'll now get a daily email letting me know what silliness is going on.
Looking around at the current state of the aggrogator market...
MyWireService
squishyWARE has an asp.net tree control that looks promising. That, and I love the name..
